Students memorize and practice multiplication facts playing interactive online video games. Online math software is available to help students learn their time tables.

Teaching multiplication tables is a daunting task for teachers. Use online multiplication games to engage students and assist them in memorizing the timetables.

Teach multiplication levels traditionally and reinforce the skills with students playing online games. Internet has a big selection of multiplication games that will interest all students. Students practice their time tables by playing a game at home or at school for 5-10 minutes a day. More often students will be willing to play an online times table game for longer than 10 minutes because it is fun and interactive.

Game Levels

Easy, medium, and standard are the main game levels for learning multiplication tables. It is best for students to begin with easy so they can enjoy the game rather than become frustrated because they do not know the answers.

Game levels are typically divided into numbers. Students choose 0-3 if they are learning 0,1,2, and 3 times table or if they want to master 9 times table they select this level.

Game levels are a guide. It is best for students to begin at a lower level and progress rather than become frustrated and refuse to play the game and learn their multiplication time tables.

Multiplication Online Games

Multiplication.com has a fabulous resource for students learning and memorizing their multiplication tables. Each week they try to provide a new game for students to enjoy. Games provided are varied and will interest all age levels.

Fish Shop and Patty’s Paint is for beginners who are learning their multiplication tables. It is more geared for grade 3 and grade 4 students. Games are animated and provide the correct answer and several incorrect answers in a number bank.

Super Stars and Beach Rush rewards students with a fun, interactive game after practicing their multiplication tables. The faster students are able to correctly answer the question, the quicker they begin playing the game.

TimezAttack teaches times table in a fun and engaging video game. A player must travel the castle, opening doors by answering multiplication facts. A free and paid version is available. Free version is minus the fun extras but it is filled with multiplication facts to teach students their time tables.

Multiplication Facts Puzzle requires the student to problem solve. This math puzzle is for an advanced student who knows most of his multiplication tables.

Memorizing multiplication facts is a requirement for students if they are to excel in mathematics. Division is one example where knowing your multiplication will help you master this math skill as well. Teach times tables with a student favorite -- online games.
